Consults by Clinical Specialists

Now that you have the pathology results… you need some expert advice on what to do next. Although, as pathologists, we can recommend additional diagnostic tests, treatment is not a pathologists’ area of expertise.

For complicated and unusual cases we always recommend referral to a clinical specialist, but we know that this is not always an option.

Perhaps you are in a more remote part of Canada and have limited to no access to referral centres/specialists, and/or there are financial limitations.

We work with Canadian board-certified specialists in several disciplines within veterinary medicine including dermatology, internal medicine, radiology, and oncologic surgery.

A clinical consultation can be requested as an add-on to any pathology report. The specialist may contact you to discuss the case further, before providing clinical recommendations.

*Refer to your User Guide - Directory of Fees for details.

If you have specialists that you already work with on a regular basis, please seek advice from them.
